Hi everyone.
This is  just a quick announcement podcast.
I'm making a call for help on making a promo from listeners.
Basically I'm hoping to get listeners to record short questions or comments about evp. Something like, "Where do the voices come from?"
or, "It really freaked me out when I heard it"
or maybe, "Is it dangerous?"
Make up your own! Submit a bunch!
Just email them to me at evppodcast@yahoo.com .

Also, the Your Results May Vary project has started.
If this is the first time you're hearing of it, this is an experiment of my own design. I'm doing 100 three-minute trials of three recordings. One recording is screened for sound, one is screened for sound and emf, and the third is an unscreened control recording. The idea is to see how many potential EVPs I get on each recording. The assumption is that if EVP is not just stray sound or radio waves, something should show up on all the recorders.
I hope you'll check out the website and read the instructions.pdf file there.
Also, itunes doesn't recognize a .zip file, which these are, so you'll need to go to http://yourresultsmayvary.libsyn.com, to download them directly, or get a podcast aggregator like ipodder/juice .

For both your promo contributions and if you hear anything in the YRMV files, email me at evppodcast@yahoo.com
Thanks! and Good Listenin'!

EVP Podcast #6
In today's show I talk about my new recording setup.
You can look at my box construction here.
I also talk about the experiment I'm going to be conducting. Basically it will be 100 3-minute trials, recording in my new sound-isolating boxes, with one recorder shielded from sound and one recorder shielded from sound and radio. You'll be able to check it out here.
The podcast's new website is up here. Its still very much a work in progress, so your patience is appreciated.
The NYC EVP Meetup is going to be held in early November. Checkout the meetup website here.

In this podcast I talk about Alexander MacRae's EVP experiment in a double screened room. The experiment was performed in 2005 and published in the October 2005 Issue of the Journal of the Society for Psychical Research. The experiment was performed at the Institute for Noetic Sciences.
I also talk about some listener email.

Hey there,
Thanks for checking out the podcast.
In this show I talk about the book, There is No Death & There are No Dead by Tom and Lisa Butler, directors of the AAEVP. You can order the book here, although I think its at Amazon.com too.
I also describe how to begin recording your own EVP and talk about my personal EVP routine.
Don't forget to check out the January 14, 2006 and January 21 2006 podcast for Haunted New Jersey for a sample of the Spiricom recordings.

Thanks to the podsafe music network (music.podshow.com) for providing music. The music we played was Inertia by Bitstream Dream.

In this podcast I summarize my experience at the AAEVP conference in Atlanta, Georgia.
It was really a fun experience for me. I got to meet and/or hear some of the big names in EVP,  including Sarah Estep, Tom and Lisa Butler, Martha Copeland, and Alexander MacRae. I got a bunch of ideas for future podcasts, a few ideas for experiments with EVP, and was intervied for a documentary on EVP and ghosts. Who knows if I'll make it into the final project, but it was fun nonetheless.
Anyway, I'm posting this podcast and will be posting a list of books that were written by people at the conference, if you care to find out more about what they said.
Enjoy!
Next podcast I hope to be covering the book, "There is No Death and There Are No Dead" by Tom and Lisa Butler, directors of the aaevp.

"EVP and the New Dimensions" by Alexander MacRae
"Induced After Death Communication" by Allan Botkin and R. Craig Hogan
"Voice of Eternity" by Sarah Estep. Available at the aaevp.com website as a pdf download.

Hi, Thanks for coming to check out my EVP Podcast.
This is my first one, so please give me a little slack as I'm pretty new to this. I hope to take a look at electronic voice phenomenon, commonly known EVP.  It was the subject of the movie White Noise, it's part of many tv show episodes, and just about every article or news piece about the recent John Lennon seance talked about EVP. Basically unexplained voices in recording media.
In this podcast I talk about how I got involved in EVP, what I hope this podcast will be and what I think it won't be. I hope to look at what's been written about EVP and look at the experiments that have been done. I'll cover my experiences and mistakes and maybe some of yours too.  You probably won't hear many EVP recordings because there are plenty of other places on the internet for that.
So, thanks for checking it out.
I'm at the aaevp conference in Atlanta, so I'm sure I'll be recording something about that in the next few days. Check back soon for more!
